Completing Lessons
Paid UserCourses on PATHS are organized into modules, each containing a sequence of lessons. This guide covers how the lesson viewer works and how your progress is tracked.
Lesson Viewer Layout
When you open a lesson, you will see two main areas:
- Content area — the main panel displaying the lesson content, which may include text, embedded videos, callouts, and interactive quiz blocks.
- Course sidebar — a navigation panel on the side showing all modules and lessons in the course, with your completion status for each.
The sidebar lets you jump to any lesson in the course without leaving the viewer.

Marking Lessons Complete

You can mark lessons complete in any order. The platform does not enforce a strict sequence, though following the intended order is recommended for the best learning experience.
Tracking Your Progress
The course sidebar displays a progress bar that fills as you complete lessons. A percentage is shown alongside it, calculated as the number of completed lessons divided by the total lessons in the course.

Progress is tracked per course and is visible from:
- The course sidebar while you are in the lesson viewer
- The course card on the Courses page (for enrolled courses)
- Your account page under enrolled courses
Resuming Where You Left Off
Your progress is saved automatically. When you return to a course, you can pick up exactly where you stopped:
- From the Courses page, click Continue on an enrolled course to jump to your most recent incomplete lesson.
- From the course sidebar, completed lessons are marked with checkmarks so you can quickly identify what remains.
If you complete all lessons in a course, the progress bar will show 100%. The course will be marked as complete, a certificate is generated automatically, and you can generate an AI action plan based on the course content.
Learning Streaks
Each lesson you complete counts toward your learning streak. Completing at least one lesson per day builds your consecutive-day streak, visible on your dashboard.
Can I un-complete a lesson?
Currently, lesson completions cannot be reversed. If you want to revisit a lesson, you can navigate back to it at any time — it will still be marked as complete, but you can re-read the content.
Does completing lessons in order matter?
The platform does not enforce a strict sequence. However, course authors design the module and lesson order for progressive learning, so following the intended order is recommended.
