Reading Articles
Free UserArticles on PATHS are standalone, in-depth pieces covering specific longevity topics. This guide explains the article reading experience and what to expect as a free-tier user.
Article Layout
When you open an article, you will see:
- Breadcrumb navigation — At the top: Articles > Pillar > Article Title, so you always know where you are.
- Expert author card — The article author's name, avatar, and credentials appear below the title. Real practitioners, not anonymous content creators.
- Content area — The main body with rich formatting: headings, lists, embedded media, callouts, and quiz blocks (for paid tiers).
- Sidebar — Table of contents with scroll-spy highlighting, AI Tutor button, and related content links.
- Pillar and tier tags — The article's longevity pillar and access tier are displayed near the title.

Navigating Within an Article
Use the table of contents in the sidebar to jump directly to a section of interest.
Scroll through the article at your own pace. Longer articles are broken into clearly labelled sections.
At the bottom of the article, look for related content suggestions — these are other articles or courses that cover similar topics.
Reading Progress
The platform tracks your position within an article so you can pick up where you left off. If you navigate away and return later, the page will load from the beginning, but the table of contents makes it easy to find your place.
Tier-Restricted Content
Some articles are restricted to paid tiers. When you encounter one:
- The article listing displays a tier badge (e.g., "premium") on the card.
- If you open a locked article, you'll see a blurred content preview with a paywall banner showing:
- A lock icon and "Premium Content" heading
- A list of tier benefits with checkmarks
- A gold Upgrade to Premium button
- A "Compare all plans" link

Free-tier articles are fully accessible with no restrictions. The lock icon only appears on content designated for Regular, Premium, or Enterprise subscribers.
Interactive Elements
What interactive elements are available in paid articles?
Paid-tier articles may include interactive elements such as embedded quizzes and knowledge checks. These allow you to test your understanding as you read. Quiz blocks appear inline within the article content at relevant points. As a free user, these elements are not available, but the core educational content of free articles is complete on its own.
